After many gloomy, rainy days, the sun finally broke through for St. John's Annual Picnic on Sun.
June 11th. We had close to 60 people in attendance! What a great success it was!!
Thanks to the grilling skills of Eric Sawyer and John Roger and the great culinary skills of
many parishioners, full tummies abounded! We all had a great time eating, gabbing, eating,
enjoying the sun, eating, playing in the water, eating, having water gun battles, eating,
watching a nearby cricket match, eating, playing games, eating, playing with balloons, eating,
etc.etc....!
I need to thank many people for all their help. Thank you to Leigh and Lou Alhage, Ron Engle,
game organizers Stephen and Eileen Herron (who enjoyed the balloons more? Kids or adults?),
Lise Smith (beautiful cake for the Confirmands and Graduates), those grill masters Eric and Dad
and all of you who helped with the cleanup! An extra special thank you to my Mum and Dad
(Biddy and John), my loving husband, Eric, and wonderful kids, JC, Andy and Gaby for all their
help and for putting up with my tirades! I do apologize for the lack of margaritas this year,
I promise to have them next time!
Again, many, many thanks to all who contributed, helped out, cleaned up and especially came out
for our annual picnic! And thanks,JC, for the stinky snake, yuk!
