6pm Sunday evening worship service

The Rev. Gail Keeney-Mulligan

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As I have observed the fast changing and crazy life schedules of so many people today and see more and more people working Sunday mornings or after working a long hard week, treasuring the sabbath time of sunday... I think it is time we tried a Sunday evening service... a service that would be for all people regardless of their Christian tradition or culture.

Patricia Gomes, organist, are really excited about our plans to begin a 6 pm Sunday evening worship service on the first Sunday of November in the theme of Community Prayer and Praise.

Some Sunday evenings will have a special theme focus such as:
  • November 2; A celebration of All Saints - past and present.
  • November 23rd; Giving Thanks for all we've got.
  • November 30th; Hope and Preparation.
  • December 21st; Our souls magnify the Lord.

It will be a service of Songs, Scripture, Reflection and Prayer and welcome for everyone, whether Protestant or Catholic, Evangelical or Contemplative, High church or low church.

Let family and friends know and come one, come all... Let's celebrate our community of faith as one in Christ.
