St John's Celebrates Autumn at the Harvest Dinner
Over 100 people conveened at St. John's Parish Hall to celebratethe harvers season
with a dinner.
Volunteers prepared a range of food representing the Autumn season. Dried dates and
olives combined with various cheeses started off the festivities. The main course
consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, several types of cranberry sauce, bread, coffee,
milk and, of course, gravy.
Dessert favorites ended the meal. Apple crisp, ice cream, pumpkin gooey cake, and cookies along
with coffee and tea marked the culmination of the meal.
Pastor Gail lead the prayer of thankfulness before guests filled their plates.
Parish children took charge of clearing empty plates. Their courtesy showed. Pumpkins at the
front of the room afforded a nice spot for anyone to write down their thoughts of thankfulness.
