Two Church Music Directors Team Up to Raise Money for the Food Bank
Zoe Vandermeer, dramatic coloratura soprano, will be singing vocally olympic arias and heart
warming sacred selections to kick off the holiday season. Accompanied by Max Vladimiroff, the
audience will also be treated to piano solos by Liszt and Chopin.

Rev. Douglas Elected diocesan bishop
The Rev. Dr. Ian T. Douglas was elected Oct. 24 as Connecticut's 15th diocesan bishop. He is currently the Angus Dun Professor of mission and
world Christianity at Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass. and associate priest at St. James's Church, Cambridge, Mass.
The bishop-elect was one of the founding organizers of Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation. He is a member of the Episcopal Church's
Executive Council, a member of the Anglican Communion's Consultative Council, and former volunteer in mission in Haiti.
Douglas was elected on the second ballot. Pending consents to the election by Standing Committeesthe Episcopal Church, as well as by Biships with
jurisdiction, he willconsecrated April, 2010, in Hartford.
The Rev. Dr. Ian T. Douglas is a passionate educator and activist for the worldwide mission of God. A recognized leader in The Episcopal Church
and the Anglican Communion, Professor Douglas is a member of the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church, member of the Design Group for the
2008 Lambeth Conference, and member-elect of the Anglican Consultative Council as a priest representing The Episcopal Church.
